NANGLE Family History
This interesting name, with variant spellings Neagle and Nangle is of Norman Irish origin. Originally "de Angulos" the family entered Ireland following the Norman invasion of 1170 and were granted large tracts of land in County Cork and in North Connacht. The Cork branch of the family used Nagle or Neagle as an anglicized form of their name and the Connacht branch Nangle from the original Gaelicized form de Nogla. Later, the Nangles of Connacht adopted the surname Mac Costello - a patronymic formed from the Gaelic prefix "mac" meaning "son of" plus the Norman personal name Oistealb and its anglicized form (Mac) Costello...Select Audience

My Grandfather was Bernard Nangle born Oct 5 th 1892 in Danvers Massachusetts. His parents were James Nangle and ME Donovan. I think the sirname came from Cavan/Meath.

My gg grandmother was Mary Anne (nee Nangle) Traynor, Wicklow dob 1859 unsure death date but after 1911 census, daughter of William Nangle Stone mason 1838-1920 and Hannah ( Anna nee Keegan) believed roughly 1840 - 1906. William's father was Peter Nangle 1789- 1878 wife was Dorothy McQuirk. Believe his father is Christopher Nangle. Looking for any lines out there and grave sites

My grandmother's name is Margaret DeNangle.
Im having so much trouble even with my DNA test to trace her paternal Line
I'm stuck wether it's spelt DeNangle /Denangle ?or if it's Nangle and I'm not sure what nangle/nagel to even start of tracing back.
