The personal name "Aodh" meaning "fire" was originally the name of a pagan god. In the "modern" idiom Mac Aodh has at least fifteen Anglicized forms including McKay, McKee, Kee, McCay, McCoy, McEa, and McAy. The form MacKee is widespread today in North East Ulster, especially in Counties Antrim, Down and Armagh, with Kee most numerous in County Donegal. My mother name was Eloise Josephine Mackey born in Beaufort Hyde County North Carolina in 1923 her mother name was Bessie Mackey and Bessie father name was James Mackey and her mother name was Clarissa Mackey and Clarissa maiden name was Clarissa Bonner the family said they was Cherokee Native American Indian I know that their is a lot of Mackey families on the Dawnes final roll.com for Native American Indian family names but how do I get the actual family information from the North Carolina census records and pictures and state issued photos id can someone please help me to locate my family and find out more about them because I have no where else to turn and what ever help you can give me I truly would be thankful and grateful and may jehovah god bless you all thank you all for what ever help you and give me
