My fifth great grandfather was Alexander Dobbins from carrickfergus..He arrived in the colonies around 1726. He was traveling with two brothers and two sisters. William, James Alexander. Rosanna Elisabeth. They stayed in Pennsylvania, then Alexander moved his family too North Carolina. His family were close friends with the Boone family who were also from Ireland.??

Hello Dobbinses. I've been in search of my irish familial connection for years now. My Aunt traced our family geneology and passed her research on to me before she passed and I've been continuing the search to add to our Dobbins pedigree charts. If I can find out any more information on the family, it would mean the world us. I've already collected an extensinve background thus far. If any of it is innacurate, I'd love to be corrected or more accurately informed. Two details I would love to uncover are (1) the Dobbins Crest that can be traced to my line of Dobbinses and (2) if my line of Dobbinses can be traced back to the Dobbins Inn in Carrickfergus. My 4th Great Grandfather is John Dobbins born in Virginia 1772. My 5th Great Grandfather is Alexander Dobbins born in Virginia 1739. My 6th Great Grandfather is Lord Hugh Dobbins Sr. born in Magerhanh, Monaghan, Ireland 1684. My 7th Great Grandfather is Terrence Dobbins born in Ireland around 1650.
