My Irish immigrant (to the U.S.) was my great-grandfather William Corcoran. He was born in the townland of Crossard/Crissard in County Laois (formerly Queens) around 1828 and emigrated around 1850 to Clinton County, New York.

Corcoran
My Corcoran family lived in Mandistown County Meath. My great grandfather, Patrick Corcoran, married my great grandmother, Bridget Kirk (age 19 of Bornamoe, Louth), on Nov. 9, 1874. Together they had 7 children before Bridget died on April 29,1888. Patrick emigrated to the U.S.(Philadelphia) in April 1898 with 5 of his 7 children and his brother, Thomas. (Mathew Corcoran died 1885 at age 2. We don't know what happend to the eldest daughter, Mary). Patrick's father was Matthew Corcoran and Bridget's father was Michael Kirk. My grandmother was one of Patrick's children, Margaret Corcoran. I'd like to trace the Corcorans from my great grandfather as far back as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tom Gorman
I am interested in tracing my wife’s Corcoran family in the Lawrencetown, Galway area. Per his U.S. naturalization application, John Corcoran was born 1 July 1825 in Lawrencetown. He emigrated to Boston, Massachusetts, USA in May 1945. I can find no record of any siblings or parents coming with him. Per his Massachusetts Death record (12 Oct 1900) his parents were Hugh Corcoran and Margaret Crosby. John’s son started a very successful family retail store (Corcoran’s!) that stood in Central Square in Cambridge, MA for over 100 years. Can you help connect us to the Corcoran Clan back in Ireland?
Charles Corcoran
I would like to connect with Tom Gorman regarding his wife's Corcoran relatives in and around Lawrencetown, East Galway. I believe that my Corcorans come from that area. Am likely related to four Corcoran brothers born about 15 years before your wife's John Corcoran. My GGFather shows up in Cincinnati, Ohio area in 1837. We have tried for many years to find a connection in Ireland but so far to no avail.
Gerard Corcoran
I am interested in tracing all the Corcoran branches using Genetic Genealogy.
My branch comes from Lorrha, Co Tipperary and Clonfert, Co. Galway.
Another branch were Millers and established up to eight mills around Dunmore and Tuam.
